Does Quik! build dynamic forms?
No-- all forms built by Quik! are static, meaning that the fields are "set in stone" when published, and do not change on the fly based on a user's actions or previous answers.
To accommodate for use cases that might benefit from using dynamic forms, we offer the following workaround suggestions:
- Leverage Forms Group Instances and request the same form multiple times. Your system can then send different data to each copy that users wish to prefill with unique information, in case a single copy of a form does not offer enough space or number of roles (i.e. user has 5 beneficiaries but the form only includes space for 2).
- If you need additional space or more roles for proprietary forms, consider creating a new "overflow" form that can be generated with the original. This second form can be a simple, one-page form designed to accommodate instances when more roles are required than would fit on the original form (i.e. if a user has 5 beneficiaries but the form only includes space for 2, create an overflow form that allows users to enter up to 10 more beneficiaries if needed).
- Let users fill out the form, Submit to your system, then re-generate the form multiple times in the future if more copies are needed.
