Web vs. Desktop Version
Quik! Transaction Manager is available as both a desktop software install for Windows PCs and a hosted, web version that can be accessed from anywhere. Which version you use depends on how you want to fill out forms and where your data is stored.
Desktop Advantages
The main reason to use the desktop version is to prefill client data from over 30 data sources. If you use Redtail, then you can use either the desktop or the web version.
Web Advantages
- The online version integrates with online client data sources including Redtail.
- Use the online version on any device including iPad or Android tablets and Apple products.
If you choose to use the online version, there is no need to install and manage software – simply log onto the Quik! website, www.QuikForms.com.
Additional Notes
If you choose to use the desktop version, you will need to download and install the software. Refer to the next section entitled, “How To Install Quik! On Your PC”.
If your CRM or client data source is stored on your local PC, you will need to use the desktop version. Refer to the next section entitled, “How To Install Quik! On Your PC”.
If you don’t have a client data source, you can either use the online version to generate forms and then manually type in the client data (which will auto-fill throughout the forms) or you can download the desktop version and use the Quik! Client Database.
