Onboarding Checklist
As a new customer, here are the key steps to a successful onboarding.
Step | Task | Who Does This Step? | How To Do This Step |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Account Sign Up | Quik! | Please request an account to be set up for you and then your master (API) credentials will be sent via email once your account is ready. |
2 | Subscribe to Forms | You or Quik! | To use forms at Quik! via our APIs requires that you first choose the forms you want on your account. Follow these steps to subscribe to forms. |
3 | Create Form Groups (OPTIONAL) | You or Quik! | If you plan on using form groups, now is a good time to set up at least one form group for testing purposes. For setting up more than 10 form groups, it may be best to request that Quik! uploads a spreadsheet of your form groups. |
4 | Add your Logo (OPTIONAL) | You | You can add your logo to your forms by uploading your logo file to our server. |
5 | E-Sign Setup (OPTIONAL) | You | If you plan on using Quik! with DocuSign or SIGNiX, you may find it easiest to set up your authentication between Quik! and your e-sign vendor now, by vising our Enterprise Manager. You can also request a default recipient be set up on your account so all e-signed forms go to a specific email account - ask us for it. |
6 | Enable E-Sign On Forms (OPTIONAL) | You | An optional feature you can use is E-Sign Enablement. This feature enables you to show which forms are signable to your users AND automatically turn OFF e-signing capability when users select one or more forms that are not signable. This helps reduce errors. By default this feature is not enabled in the API; to turn on this feature set the property “ESignTrackingEnabled” to TRUE in your API calls to the Quik! Forms Engine /execute/html command. You can configure which forms and companies are e-signable here: |
7 | Configure Field Rules (OPTIONAL) | You + Quik! | One of the most powerful features of Quik! is the ability to apply rules to fields - make them required, default values into them, set background colors and more. You can do this at anytime in our enterprise manager or real-time within the API when generating the form. NOTE: Configuring field rules is a little tricky so it’s best if you ask for assistance and/or training. If you have a lot of rules, we can upload them all for you and save you a lot of work. |
8 | Map Fields | You + Quik! | Mapping fields is something you’ll do initially and infrequently over the life of your account. We recommend working closely with our implementation team to assist in field mapping. Start by reviewing these articles: |
9 | Review Form Generation Properties | You | Although there are many API methods and several endpoints, the one you’ll need to assess most is the form generation (/execute method). There are over 200 properties for generating an HTML form which gives you a lot of flexibility in how you use forms. |
10 | Review REST APIs | You | There are many REST APIs that enable you:
If there’s an API you’re looking for but cannot find, let us know (we’ll help you find it). |
